The ARE puts on events with your enjoyment as our number one goal. In addition to an absolutely beautiful course that is so well marked you'd think we were sponsored by a flagging tape company, you will also be treated to the following:

- Costumed volunteers - Running through the ARE's own version of a graveyard - Parts of the course will be decorated in the spirit of Halloween - An eat-till-you-drop cook-out following the race - Special Categories - Commemorative Gorilla Medals to all finishers in the half

The race is also part of the Western Massachusetts Athletic Club Grand Tree Series and is a great way to see one of the most beautiful places in the area.
